freaked

for some reason i found a copy of the movie freaked taped from HBO on to VHS in my collection. i've never seen this movie before and can only conclude it was part of someone else's stash that i acquired at some point in time.

observations:
  • i really love the nostalgia of that HBO feature film music.
  • this movie, strangely enough, has some very laughable gags.
  • read some reviews: (1), (2), (3)
freaky, indeed.

Purpose Statement

It was inevitable that in doing this I should arrive at new results, and it is perhaps understandable that in the end I have felt impelled to present these results not only in the dry form of a catalogue, but also in a more connected and personal one.

thank you for visiting (blue) stockfootage - the ambitious and ever-in-progress catalog of every film i've ever seen, as well as those i plan on seeing. given the scope of this project, i thought a bit of introduction might be in order. ahem, an FAQ:

Q: whose film catalog is this?
A: wendybuckwild's

Q: how do i view your catalog?
A: you must first register with IMDb (it is free and may eventually become useful for you in a personal fashion if you ever want to comment on IMDb or read people's comments). once you are registered, you can use the links in the right sidebar of this blog to access my film library. currently, it's a clunky interface but i hope IMDb grows to better serve me. right now you cannot view all of my films at once, but you can review the films i've seen as i've organized them (by decade). be sure to check out my ratings when you're looking at a decade (since that's how i've sorted the lists), or run a sort by genre on a list and learn fun facts like i love 70s horror, or view my highest rated films all at once by visiting the favourites section. you can also click on the little note icon on the far right next to any given film's listing and see if i have left any comments there.

Q: what will i find in the posts on this blog?
A: well, if i really really liked a movie, i'll write about it here. i'll also discuss my various film genre explorations and the mini-marathons by directors i sometimes engage in.

Q: why are you cataloging films?
A: see quotes on this page and stop asking so many questions.

Q: do you know about Netflix?
A: yes.
